Hi all

I have not wrote a blog post in awhile so thought I would write one. as I have a few things that I need to share regarding Hospital Radio.

If you didn’t know  I have two shows one on a Thursday evening from 6pm-8pm and the other one on a Sunday Afternoon (Soul & Motown) from 2pm-4pm but we are getting new members in soon everyone will be going to one show a week.

So I will only be doing Thursday’s 6pm-8pm. Although we can still do cover.

I wanted to recommend you to read/buy

Blogging is a great way to meet other bloggers and to let your voice be heard and to think of topics to write about as well which may be difficult at times staring at a blank screen thinking what to write.

This what happened to me so thought I would buy a book called Better Blog Writing: How to Improve Your Writing to Keep Readers Coming Back for More from Amazon or you can buy the Kindle Version

This book has helped me come up with new blog posts has it has excellent tips/ideas on creating blog posts that shine, and tips for SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Gives you some suggestions on blog topics with the writing prompts. This book covers sheds a much needed light on this very important aspect of blogging. After all, you can’t build an audience with writing that is flat, uninspiring and rife with spelling errors and such.

I have joined the giffgaff Network – No contract PAYG Sim

Giffgaff is a small mobile phone provider. It’s unusual in that it doesn’t have shops or call centres and instead is an online provider run by, and for, its members. It has traditionally offered pay-as-you-go Sim cards but in late 2013 started selling handsets that you pay for on a monthly basis, so in recent years we’ve also rated it as a contract provider.

The mobile network run by you! giffgaff runs on the O2 network It’s an amazing network you get some good deals and it’s good value for money. Also giffgaff will give you £5 (500 payback points) for every new member SIM activation you help make happen.

It’s a lot different to normal networks their are no call centres so no long queues. which is great! 😀 If you have any problems you go on the Help Section of the community and you are helped by other Giffgaffers . You receive points for helping other giffgaffers

You buy credit by voucher or credit/debit card and then buy a goodybag using the money from your credit. So what’s a goodybag? As it sounds, it’s a month worth of goodies – such as unlimited texts and internet access, and a fixed number of calling minutes.

I have volunteered for Sandwell Hospital Radio for 7  years now I started in 2011 and I have volunteered at  Litter Watch for 3 or 4 years now

I still do both and I have found that volunteering is great fun and it good to add to your CV also get to meet new people at the same time.

Volunteers Week

Volunteers’ Week is an annual event which takes place at the start of June. It celebrates the contribution made by millions of volunteers across the UK. It’s run by NCVO in partnership with Volunteer Development Scotland, Volunteer Now(Northern Ireland) and Wales Council for Voluntary Action.

From showcasing the different volunteering roles on offer, taster sessions and team challenges with new partners, to volunteer recruitment events, awards ceremonies and launching new volunteering campaigns, events take place throughout the country.

I have volunteered for Sandwell Hospital Radio for 7  years now I started in 2011 and I have volunteered at  Litter Watch for 3 or 4 years now

Big Spring Clean back for 2017

Sandwell’s ever-popular Big Spring Clean campaign is back for 2017 – and local people and organisations are invited to get involved with litter picking, graffiti removal, planting and painting.

The campaign will launch with a community litter-picking event at Victoria Park, Smethwick, on Friday 3 March.

Sandwell Council has teamed up again with waste partner Serco and local charity Litter Watch to recruit volunteers for the 11th annual Sandwell Big Spring Clean.

Sandwell’s campaign this year ties in with a national Great British Spring Clean and will run until the end of September. It will also help celebrate Litter Watch’s 20th birthday.

So why not find out more by heading here and get involved!!
